James got his Securities licensees in 1991 and started working in the family registered broker dealer raising money for LLP’s. Quickly gravitating to options and commodity strategy trading.

In 1993 James founded Global Trading Industries, an FFL Type 8 holder allowing importing from China. In 1998 James began teaching around the world spot foreign exchange trading. 2012 started a major bank alternative (FX) foreign exchange and International Payments Services Company. Dicks finds success in developing prime Florida real estate assets and giving back to his community by volunteering more than a 1,000 hours a year.

A McGraw-Hill international best-selling author, James has published nine books on various financial topics including Foreign Currency Option Strategies and has been recently featured in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, USA Today, Forbes and seen on CNBC, NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS.

He is currently serving in his 6th year of a two-term position as Florida Chairman of the Department of Defense Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve appointed by the Secretary of Defense. The Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has named James as one of 18 experts and community leaders to serve on her Opioid Abuse Working Group, including Chair, Sheriff Dennis Lemma. James sits on the executive committee for both the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and the Orange County Sheriff Foundation.

Mr. Dicks served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps and is also a member of the American Legion and Urban Land Institute. James enjoys the opportunity to meet with leaders within his circle of influence to discuss, promote and fortify our Guard and Reserve respective missions.

James lives in Lake Mary, Florida with his wife, Deb and his two children.
